Built in the 1970's along with Telford and Milton Keynes Hambleton Rhiley is one of Britain's 'new towns'.
It was designed by Royston Rhiley (from whom it gets it suffix, it's prefix coming from the existing village of Hamlbeton on top of which it was built) also known as the Mad Rhiley. It was not known at the time but Rhiley had super human powers that enabled him to twist space in its 4th dimension and sometimes to twist time. The Hambleton Rhiley was effected by this and there are places in its centre which do not technically exist. Half way through construction (1978) Rhiley was found out and imprisioned. The town was finished in the normal three dimension. Most of the parts built by Rhiley where demolished but some of them proved hard to find and remain to the present day. Present day Hamnleton Rhiley reamins a center for super human activity. It has becoem very run down in parts and has stretched into Blackpool.
