Gentech Industries, a division of the Terran Corporation, is a striving company, leading the way in medical and technological research. Prominent in the field of cybergenetics, Gentech is a world player on it's own and with the backing of its parent company Terran Corporation (or GlobalCorp as it's become known) it seems that there is no stopping them.
However, in the mid-90's Gentech was embroiled in legal battles, accused of unauthorised and illegal experimentation on human beings. The case however was thrown out when vital evidence seemed to disappear.
Many blamed GlobalCorp and conspiracies have arisen that suggest that the company has infiltrated and has a degree of control over many world governments, effectivily giving them a platform to do whatever they wish.
These claims however, have been totally rejected by Terran officials, who have called them absolutely ridiculous. Meanwhile Gentech continues it's pioneering work on cybergenetics, and looks set to change the way we think about medical science.
Most have discounted the conspiracy theories as pure fiction and the Terran Corporation's continuing mission to make a better world for tomorrow appears, on the surface at least, to be genuine.
